Haydenshapes x Wasted Talent.

Because the best things in life just make sense.

There’s nothing quite like a new blade. The anticipation. The under the arm feelz. The compliments from friends, served cold with a slight garnish of envy “That thing looks pretty fun” The shortlived fury of misplacing a tail pad by a milimeter. The first coat of wax. The flat spell of 3 weeks that will invairbaly follow your surfboard purchase. All orgasmic experiences.

So understandably, when HS picked up the phone against the backdrop of a global pandemic and the ensuing surfboard shortage that followed, we were as they say ‘stoked’. So much alignment! After a good old fashioned swedish Smörgåsbordof ideas, we settled on a Muted Pink Cohort, and a murdered out black on black Untitled. Both featuring signature artwork from our summer collection, custom made in Mona Vale, Sydney, Australia.

Surfed and approved by Messiers Anderson, Craig and Agius, Dion we hope our limited run of 24 will find suitable homes with the wider public.

And yes, they do look pretty fun. We hope you’ll agree.

The Untitled FutureFlex V2 Description

Fast, fierce and responsive. The UNTITLED is back, fresh faced and tweaked to team spec. “Untitled” is a lively board that defines speed, versatility and fun. Having a slightly fuller plan shape, this winged swallow tail shortboard has a deep single concave to vee that gets you up to top-speed in the mushiest of conditions.

The Untitled V2 is designed for the progressive surfer looking to improve their surfing or for the professional looking for a small wave performance board that can ride a flatter less powerful wave with plenty of paddle, speed and performance, although it will still have plenty of controlled response in a more curved section of a wave.Anything from beach breaks, reef to point breaks. The Untitled V2 will perform

Untitled FutureFlex V2 Materials

  • Future Flex. Designed and patented by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox, FutureFlex is an affluent mix of modern custom designed materials and modern design innovation for high performance surfing. The construction combines a stringer-less, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame.

The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance vitality of the overall product. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twist, FutureFlex essentially stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. Tom Carroll, who was the very first person, after Hayden, to test drive the first ever FutureFlex, describes the tech as “the Ferrari of surfboards” for it’s fast-twitch nature and lively response. The FutureFlex construction creates a fast, dynamic and highly responsive surfboard that’s been design engineered for performance surfing ranging from the intermediate to advanced level.

About Wasted Talent

Wasted Talent logo

Wasted Talent was born on a late summer’s evening in the South West of France. A conversation after the flowing of the vinos that habitually doth flow in this part of the world. A conversation born out of frustration of the lack of innovation in the surf and skate scenes across Europe. The need for a common space for brands and products that we believed in. Put simply, you need clothes and accessories you can wear from the beach to the bar and beyond and not look like a total kook in the process. Quite the opposite in fact. We made a magazine and a store and we hope you like it. Click for more Wasted Talent
